Carolyn Yeager, Ph.D.
Clinician and Clinical Technologist Lyda Hill Institute for Human ResilienceBiography
Dr. Yeager is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in trauma recovery and resilience-focused care. Her approach is strengths-based, collaborative, and deeply respectful of each person’s lived experience. Therapy is guided by the belief that healing is most effective when it builds upon what is already present within you.
Dr. Yeager (or Carrie) provides evidence-based, trauma-informed psychotherapy tailored to each individual. She is trained in a range of well-established approaches, including:
• Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Internal Family Systems (IFS)
• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
These approaches are used flexibly and collaboratively, based on client needs, goals, and readiness.
In addition to psychotherapy, she serves as a Clinical Technologist at Milestones Resilience Care. In this role, she leads the development of a strengths-based assessment system designed to help clients identify areas of resilience across four core pillars:
• Psychological strength
• Physical health
• Connection and relationships
• Meaning and purpose
This assessment is used collaboratively to empower clients and inform more targeted, personalized care across the Milestones model. The focus is not on deficits, but on understanding strengths and identifying where additional support may be helpful—always honoring choice, readiness, and pace.
Dr. Yeager’s role is to provide thoughtful guidance, evidence-based care, and a steady, supportive presence within a multidisciplinary, trauma-informed team.
